Chris Howley is a seasoned executive with more than twenty-five years of experience successfully leading, managing, marketing, and owning large privately held firms. His track record of general management, marketing, structuring businesses, financing and P&L management as well as geographically diverse operations has distinguished him as he has led the growth of several businesses by quickly assessing cultural nuances and change requirements, sized up talent, and refocused organizations on delivering results, developing talent, and clear strategic priorities.
He has led several businesses to great success by quickly assessing cultural nuances, sizing up talent, refocusing organizations while delivering results, developing talent, and cultivating clear strategic priorities. His specialties include networking, RFP preparation and response, contract negotiation, and selling to governmental agencies.
Chris’ distinctions of unwavering character and integrity, combined with an energizing leadership style and a disciplined work ethic were formed early in his life. After graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in Marketing, he went to work in the hospitality business, receiving total hotel and customer service training through the Marriott Corporation executive training program for 2 years. He then transitioned to the parking industry where for the first four years led and grew a regional Southern Florida parking firm. During his tenure they tripled their size and profitability and expanded into multiple facets of the parking industry.
Chris then transitioned to a national parking firm starting as President of the hospitality division and in a twenty-year career with the largest privately held parking operator in the country delivered more than $500,000,000 in profitable growth contracts. He became owner minority owner of a tightly held corporation, led the largest division of that firm and worked to grow the company to the largest provider of Airport parking and transportation services. The division provided shuttle, parking, valet, taxi-starter, curbside management, capital investment, equipment procurement, installation and operation. He has worked on project from start to finish in the development, design, financing and operation of parking structures for Airports. He sat on the board of Republic Parking System as Vice President and held the title of Executive Vice President since 2002. Held minority share ownership in the company since 2002 as well as minority ownership in LLC’s owning the land lease for development and financing of airport parking structures. He has over seen the company with 2,500 employees with national presence. Chris has worked writing agreements, soliciting business, preparing and proposals and presentations for more than 100 Airports across the country. He is extremely capable in working with governmental entities.
Chris recently decided to sell his interest and pursue creating his own firm, The Howley Group, that he owns with Sara Callari. He is involved in other pursuits such as coaching high school basketball and football, is an elected official, and is very involved with his community. He is a dynamic, strong leader and manager, that is finically adept.
A member of various Aviation centered organization (AAAE, ACI, etc...) for over 20 years, Chris is also a council member for the Town of Signal Mountain, TN, on the board of directors of film production company Lunacy Unlimited and coaches high school basketball. Chris’ consistent track record of pushing his organizations to new levels of performance while inspiring, empowering, and holding accountable those he leads make him a distinguished executive by any standards. His civic and community commitments as a Signal Mountain citizen are significant and his commitment to his religion, wife and four children remains his life’s most important priority.
